Hi, I'm Lori

I grew up in the UK (and still live here today) and had what I would call a misspent youth devouring everything science fiction and fantasy,

I love reading and writing books that draw a reader into new and undiscovered worlds with characters that are hard to part with long after the journey comes to end.

​My debut novel, The Forbidden, begins the epic journey into The Ancestors Saga, a fantasy series set 40,000 years ago that combines history, mystery and legend to retell a lost chapter in humanity's dark and distant past.

Since 2020, when I first published The Forbidden, I've sold more than 300,000 copies of books, which just blows my mind to know that so many people have read and enjoyed the stories in my head.

My books have also been published in audio by a publisher and have been translated into French. Again, a feat I never thought possible.

When not lost in depths of my writing, you'll find me with my family (3 boys, 2 whippets and and her husband - it's a busy house!), working with my horses (we have 16 of them at our home in the UK) or outdoors walking and exploring the great British countryside.
